(It's been many years since I've used either.)įWIW, I've gotten much better results from darktable than I had from Lightroom. (I think with ctrl-s?) Bridge can hopefully do something similar. (Raw files aren't modified.) You're able to change the settings in Lightroom to save XMP, then select all, and save the XMPs manually. If you don't have Adobe software saving XMP files next to your raws, then darktable won't have anything to work from. Are you able to have it save sidecar XMP for all your files?įor me, darktable imported Lightroom tags, ratings, and other metadata from the XMP files stored alongside my raw files. I think Adobe Camera Raw is used by both Bridge and Lightroom (I remember something about that). When I switched from Lightroom to darktable years ago, darktable was able to read the XMP files generated by Lightroom.
